MESA, Ariz. - OUAZ (Ariz.) advanced in the NAIA Beach Volleyball Invitational with a 3–0 quarterfinal victory over Arizona Christian on April 24, clinching the dual in straight matches under the decision format. 

The first wave featured Pair 2 and Pair 4, and both OUAZ teams delivered efficient straight-set wins to put immediate pressure on Arizona Christian. In Pair 2, Shayna Martinez and Olga Romero controlled the match from the opening points, defeating Jaiden Zeis and Abby Siebert 21–12, 21–11. On the neighboring court in Pair 4, Shea Marovich and Alexia Luengo matched that pace, turning in a 21–13, 21–14 win over Haley Tedrow and Jasmin Joesph. With those two results in, OUAZ moved within a single point of securing the quarterfinal.

Once Pairs 2 and 4 finished, the remaining three pairings took the court to complete the dual. OUAZ’s clincher came in Pair 5, where Marielle Ramos and Gabriele Corrales earned a 21–11, 21–18 victory over Kapri Espnosa and Lilly Petersen to seal the team win at 3–0.

Because the match was played to decision, the remaining contests did not need to be completed, and both Pair 1 and Pair 3 were truncated after the dual had been decided. In Pair 1, Eliana Dean and Maya Blake were ahead of Emee Fellens and Emily Casner at the stoppage, with the score showing 21–13, 19–12. Pair 3 was also halted with OUAZ’s Katy Shockey and Alicia Romero trailing Arizona Christian’s Abby Nelson and Alyssa Robles, 15–21, 14–17.
