Taylor (Ind.) Takes Over Top Spot in NAIA Baseball Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The latest edition of the 2026 GoRout NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll saw Taylor (Ind.) rise to the No. 1 spot, fueled by a 12-game win streak. The Trojans received nine first-place votes and claimed the top spot for the first time this season after LSU Shreveport (La.) held the No. 1 ranking in each of the previous editions. Georgia Gwinnett remains steady at No. 2, while Bellevue (Neb.) continues its climb into No. 3. LSU Shreveport (La.) and Johnson (Tenn.) round out the top five.

Texas A&M-Victoria made one of the biggest jumps of the week, going from receiving votes to No. 10, while Indiana Southeast enters the poll this week at No. 23. Movement continues throughout the rankings, including a strong rise from Doane (Neb.), climbing from No. 23 to No. 16, and Kansas Wesleyan's jump from No. 17 to No. 12.

Poll Methodology

  • The national poll is for publicity purposes only and does not influence the selection process for national championship consideration.
  • A panel of head coaches representing each conference and the Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) votes in the poll.
  • The Top 25 teams are selected using a points-based system:
    • 30 points for a 1st-place vote, 29 for 2nd, 28 for 3rd, and so on.
  • The highest and lowest rankings received by each team are discarded before final tallying.
  • Teams receiving only one point are not listed as “receiving votes.”
  • For the Preseason Poll, there is no "previous ranking" column since it is the initial poll and differs from the prior rating system.
