Ahmadou Aw of Shawnee State (Ohio) Picked the Pockets of Opponents Last Week to Pick up Defensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ahmadou Aw of Shawnee State (Ohio) was tabbed as the floor general, recording double-digit steals and boards over two games last week, earning his second Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award.

Aw opened his week with four steals and six defensive rebounds in 35 minutes against Kentucky Christian. Later in the week, he followed it up with a season-high seven steals against IU Southeast (Ind.), giving Shawnee critical extra possessions in what was a close 79-74 overtime victory.

He recorded 11 total steals and ten defensive rebounds over 76 total minutes played last week.

Aw and Shawnee State are back in action on Thursday, Jan. 29, against WVU Tech (W. Va.) on the road. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. ET.
