Kameron Johnson of Loyola Leads Wolf Pack to Four Overtime Win Enroute to Gared Performance Sports Offensive Player of the Week Honors
Kansas City, Mo. - Kameron Johnson was a hometown hero for the Loyola (La.) Wolf Pack, leading them to a win after a four-overtime thriller last week against Xavier (La.) to pick up Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 11.
The junior from New Orleans played 59 minutes and scored 33 points in the game. His two biggest points came in the final two seconds of regulation at the charity stripe, sending the game to its first overtime period.
Johnson shot nearly 40% from the field, 25% beyond the arc, and 62.5% at the foul line in the game. As both teams combined for a total of 212 points, Johnson was all over the court, grabbing eight boards, five steals, and dishing out 12 assists.
Gared Performance Sports Systems NAIA Men's Basketball Offensive Players of the Week are announced every Tuesday throughout the season, with the final player of the week for the first half of the season being released on December 9.
