Webber's Richards, Jr., Earns Back-to-Back NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Christopher Richards, Jr., secured his second-straight victory and back-to-back NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week designations, March 18, winning the Carey Collegiate to help Webber International (Fla.) claim their third team title of the 2025-26 season.

Richards, Jr., a freshman from Martin, Trinidad and Tobago, began the Carey Collegiate in 2-under 69. He turned it on over the final 36 holes to win the event by two strokes. 

He was 5-under in each of his final two rounds, closing the tournament with back-to-back scores of 66. 

The Warriors were 17-under as a team, four strokes better than Reinhardt (Ga.), one of four teams under par in the event. Meanwhile, Richards, Jr., won the event in a field of 83 golfers. 

Webber is back in action March 30-31, at the 2026 Roadrunner Classic, hosted by Dalton State (Ga.) at The Farm Golf Club.
