KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri Valley College freshman Felipe Suarez is the NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week for a second time this season, opening the spring schedule of awards with the honor after a one-stroke win in Texas last week. 

Suarez was 5-under in Texas, topping a field of 63 golfers in a field with nine nationally ranked teams. 

He opened the tournament with an even-par 72 before two rounds in the red, shooting 69 in the second round and 70 to close the event, the only player in the field to finish the third round under par.

The Vikings finished fourth in the event. 

Missouri Valley is back in action March 16-17, competing in The Pines at Lindsey Wilson, in Columbia, Ky.
