Four National Records Set on Day 3 of the 2026 NAIA Men's Swimming and Diving National Championship

Elkhart, Ind. – There were four NAIA national records set as Keiser (Fla.) extended its lead on the third day of competition at the 2026 NAIA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships Friday night at the Elkhart Aquatic Center. In total, seven national champions were crowned on the day.

The Seahawks recorded four national championship performances.  Isaiah Aleksenko set the tone, breaking the 100 fly NAIA record in prelims, before besting that time in the finals, clocking a 45.21.  He also led off the 400 medley relay with a record-breaking time of 45.70 in the 100 back, while Keiser’s time of 3:09.43 also broke the national record.  Noel de Geus defended his 100 breast title, touching the wall in 52.18.  In one-meter diving, Adrian Avilan tallied 347.95 points to earn his second national title of the week.

Cumberlands (Ky.) surged up the leaderboard into second place with 257 points.  Ruthiik Satti (48.09) and Brandon Holder (48.14) notched a one-two finish in the 100 back.  The Patriots added national runner-up finishes in the 400 IM (Fabrizio Pacioni), 200 free (Titouan Bernot), and the 400 medley relay.

Milligan (Tenn.) remains in third with 254 points behind six NAIA All-American performances.  Christoph Haeanel and Caleb Fry notched national runner-up finishes in the 100 fly and the 100 breast, respectively.

SCAD (Ga.) is in fourth place with 238 points, while St. Thomas (Fla.) rounds out the top five with 230 points.

The Masters surged in the team standings behind a pair of national champions.  Evan Nail clocked a 3:48.16 to win the 400 IM and break the NAIA record.  Teammate Izaiah Trevino-Iozano followed that by winning the 200 free, touching the wall in 1:34.91, which just missed the national record by 0.02 seconds.

The NAIA Championship will wrap up on Saturday, March 7, with the final day of competition. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. EST, and finals will start at 5 p.m. EST.
