2025 NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athletes of the Week - No. 5 (February 12)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Peyton Mauldin of Dordt (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Braden Kalvelage of Northwestern (Iowa) has been named the NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from February 3-9 and were chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Payton Mauldin, Dordt (Iowa) - SR

  • Competed at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite
  • Won the 400-meter dash in an NAIA “A” standard time of 46.38, which is a school record and top time in the NAIA this winter
  • Won the 600-meter dash in an “A” standard time of 1:17.23
  • Aided the Dordt 4x400 meter relay team to a third-place finish with a mark of 3:13.73

 

NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Braden Kalvelage, Northwestern (Iowa) – JR

  • Competed at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite
  • Won the long jump with a mark of 7.49m, which is an NAIA “A” standard mark and the top jump in the NAIA this winter
  • Also placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.67
