2025 NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athletes of the Week - No. 6 (February 19)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Davien Worrels of Southeastern (Fla.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Robert Atwater of Midland (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from February 10-16 and were chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Davien Worrels, Southeastern (Fla.) - SR

  • Took part in The Sun Conference Championship
  • Won four titles out of five events, with all the winning times being an “A” or “B” standard marks
  • Won the 200-meter, 400-meter, and 600-meter dashes in the meet
  • Aided the Southeastern 4x400 meter relay team to a fourth-place finish with a mark of 3:13.19 

 

NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Atwater, Midland (Neb.) – SR

  • Took part in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships
  • Won three events in the meet and was named the Outstanding Athlete of the Meet
  • Took the titles in the high jump (2.09m), long jump (7.51m), and the heptathlon (5269 pts)
  • Was the runner-up in the pole vault (4.85m) and third in the triple jump (13.95m)
