2025 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week - No. 8 (April 30)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Zach Turner of Doane (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Robert Atwater of Midland (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 22-27 and was chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Zach Turner, Doane (Neb) – RS SR

  • Took part in the Drake Relays
  • Won the 400-meter hurdles in an “A” standard time of 50.81, which is a new school record
  • Finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with an “A” standard time of 13.66

 

NAIA Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Robert Atwater, Midland (Neb.) – SR

  • Took part in the Drake Relays
  • Won the long jump with a leap of 7.43, which is an “A” standard mark
  • Placed second in the high jump with an “A” standard mark of 2.12m
  • Currently ranks fourth nationally in both events
