No. 1 in 1500m Time Lands Jack Anderson Men's Track Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Master’s (Calif.) senior Jack Anderson of Athens, Alabama, has been named Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after a stretch of performances at multiple distances.

Coming off of an individual title in cross country and a top performance in the 3000m at the NAIA Indoor Championship, Anderson, opened the outdoor season on the right foot. 

Anderson’s best result during the outdoor season came at the Stanford Invitational on April 3–4. In the 5000 meters, he ran 13:57.42 to place second in a 23-man field while achieving the “A” standard.  Twenty-one of the 23 athletes come from DI programs. 

The next meet the Mustangs will compete in is the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on April 11.
