KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Matt Pennala of Saint Xavier (Ill.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Cameron Werner of UHSP (Mo.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week, and David Rudic of Missouri Baptist has been named the NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from March 17-23 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Matt Pennala, Saint Xavier (Ill.) - SR - Outside Hitter

• Totaled 35 kills in two wins for an average of 5.0 kills per set
• Recorded an attack percentage of .349 
• Set a new single-match record for kills against Cornerstone (Mich.) with 28 kills
• Aided the team in wins over Calumet (Ind.) and Cornerstone 

NAIA Men's Volleyball Defender of the Week

Cameron Werner, UHSP (Mo.) - SO - Middle Blocker

• Totaled 24 total blocks (23 assisted) 
• Averaged 1.71 blocks per set
• Added 25 kills and eight digs to his stat line
• Werner boasted seven total blocks in three of four matches last week against Governors State (Ill.), Grand View (Iowa) and William Penn (Iowa)

NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week 

David Rudic, Missouri Baptist - SR - Setter 

• Recorded 141 assists for an average of 14.10 assists per set in three matches
• Had 58 assists in a 3-1 victory over William Penn (Iowa)
• Added five kills, three aces, 24 digs and two blocks to his stat line
• Helped his team to a 3-0 week with wins over UHSP (Mo), William Penn and Grand View (Iowa)
