KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Mount Mercy (Iowa) sophomore setter Gustavo Kehl Bauer has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week after orchestrating a solid three-match stretch. 

Across matches against Clarke (Iowa), No. 14 Morningside (Iowa), and Dordt (Iowa), Bauer totaled 129 assists, averaging 12.9 assists per set while Mount Mercy went unbeaten. 

Bauer opened the week with a clean, efficient outing in a straight-set win over Clarke, piling up 20 assists while playing in two of the three sets, 10 assists per set, set the tone for what followed. His signature performance came in a four-set victory over 14th-ranked Morningside, where he delivered a new season-high 59 assists.  He closed the week with another four-set win, this time over Dordt, where he added 50 assists while averaging 12.5 per set.

Over the three matches, he also contributed 10 other kills, 29 digs, and six service aces, underscoring his impact beyond setting.
