KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Victor Guzman of Cumberland (Tenn.) is the NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week. The winner was selected based on their performances from January 27-Feb. 2 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X.

NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week

Victor Guzman, Cumberland (Tenn.) - SR – 149

• In a dual match against No. 10 Campbellsville (Ky.), he defeated Nicholas Yancey, the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the weight class in the NAIA.
• Tied after three periods, Guzman picked up a takedown for the sudden victory win.
• Guzman is ranked No. 11 in the 149-pound weight class.
