Brody Gee Garners NAIA Men's Wrestler of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Saint Mary's (Kan.) Brody Gee, ranked No. 4 at 125, had a monstrous weekend at the Missouri Valley Invite, claiming first place in his weight class and earning the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award, only given to one wrestler in the entire meet.
The No. 16 Spires finished seventh out of 61 teams at the event, with Gee aiding the team with 26.5 points alongside his first-place finish.
The senior went 3-0 at the tournament, trumping No. 3 Haden Hernandez by decision, No. 5 Anthony Hughes by decision, and No. 18 Robert Albert by fall (1:05).
St. Mary is back on the mat on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. CT against Ottawa (Kan.).
