Goshen’s Hogan Makes Maple Leafs History on the way to First Men’s Cross Country Weekly Recognition in 2025

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Junior Drew Hogan posted the second-fastest 8K time in Goshen (Ind.) program history Friday at the Wildcat Twilight Invitational, winning the race in a field packed with Crossroads League competition to claim the first NAIA Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award of the 2025 season.

Hogan won the race in 24:25.7, breaking the course record at Indiana Wesleyan and claiming the season-opener among 303 runners.

Mathew Keitany is the only Goshen runner to post a better time in program history, ahead of Hogan’s first race this season by four seconds. Prior to Hogan’s race on Friday, Keitany owned the three fastest times in Goshen history.

The 21st-ranked Maple Leafs are back in action Friday, at the Auto Owners Spartan Invite, hosted by Michigan State in East Lansing.
