FREMONT, Neb. -- On a chilly and windy day in Fremont, records were taken down by Doane (Neb.) and Midland's (Neb.) softball teams on Thursday (March 24). In the end, the two teams combined to score 66 runs in the doubleheader as each team won a game by a single run. Midland took the first game, 13-12 in eight innings while Doane won the nightcap, 21-20, with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh.

Overall, 14 conference or Doane records were either tied or broken in the doubleheader.
