2025 NAIA Softball Players of the Week - No. 1 (February 25)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kacie Schmidt of Oregon Tech has been named the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week, and Tara Hoehner of Oklahoma City has been named the NAIA Softball Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from February 17-23 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees.
Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kacie Schmidt, Oregon Tech - SR - Pitcher
- Schmidt was dominant in the circle for the Owls last week as they traveled to the Sooner state.
- She helped Tech go 5-1 against nationally-ranked teams tossing shutout wins against Freed-Hardeman and No. 2 Science and Arts.
- Schmidt tallied 21.2 innings pitched allowing just two runs with nine walks while striking out 28 batters.
NAIA Softball Player of the Week
Tara Hoehner, Oklahoma City - SO - Outfield
- Hoehner had herself a week at the plate going 7-for-13 (.538) over four games.
- She drove in 11 runs on a pair of doubles and two long shots; one being a grand slam.
- Her slash for last week stood at .538/.588/1.154.
