Jayden Anderson of USAO (Okla.) Put Together Back-To-Back Shutouts, Including Her First No-No to Earn National Pitcher of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jayden Anderson was stellar in the circle last week for the Science & Arts (Okla.) Drovers. The right-handed junior tossed 13 frames last week with pinpoint accuracy to secure national pitcher of the week honors for the 11th installment of the 2026 season.
Anderson opened the week, earning the start against Nelson (Texas) on the road. The Tishamingo, Okla. native, didn't miss the opportunity as she tossed her first no-hitter of the season while she rang up 11 Nelson batters in the process. She followed up her first no-hitter of the season the next day, tossing seven innings and earning the 1-0 victory, striking out five batters and allowing just two hits.
Jayden improves to a perfect 8-0 on the season after both outings last week, averaging 8.62 strikeouts per seven innings and a .31 WHIP last week. Anderson and the Drovers take the diamond again on April 17 and 18 at home in a four-game series against Oklahoma City. Game one on the 17th is set to get underway at 5 p.m. CT with game two to follow. On Saturday, the 18th, game three of the four-game series is set to begin at noon CT.
