Savannah Bravo of Indiana Tech Earns Pitcher of the Week honors With Four Appearances in the Circle

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Savannah Bravo of the Indiana Tech Warriors was stellar in the circle last week. Earning the nod for three games and coming in for relief in a fourth. The senior earns national pitcher of the week honors after 24 total innings pitched with an average of 9.63 strikeouts per seven innings.

Bravo started game one against Grace (Ind.), going the distance. She was locked in on the zone as well, sending 11 Lancers back to the dugout for a no-hitter. She was so dominant in the circle that a lone defensive slip-up from the Warriors spoiled the run at a perfect game. In game two against the Lancers, she came in for two innings of work, allowing one run to cross under her assignment as she closed the game out for her second win of the week.

Later in the week, she needed eight innings of work to pick up the third 4-3 win against the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.). Bravo averaged 7.88 strikeouts per seven innings, fanning nine Tigers in the process.

Overall on the week, Bravo sat down a total of 33 batters, and allowed just four earned runs with a 1.17 ERA and 0.75 WHIP.

The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday, March 11, for more spring break games in Tucson, Ariz. Bravo and team will square off against Dickinson State (N.D.) at 10 a.m. MT, followed by Carroll (Mont.) at noon MT.
