Morningside’s Kamryn Zuniga Turns Mustang Fall Invite Win into Season’s First NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Morningside (Iowa) junior Kamryn Zuniga is the first NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week of the 2025-26 season.

A junior from Choctaw, Okla., Zuniga won the Morningside Mustang Fall Invite, helping her team to a second-place finish in the 14-team field at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa.

Zuniga claimed medalist honors by shooting a second-round score of 73 (1-over par). She had three birdies during her second round, running her birdie total to five for the tournament after a two-birdie, first-round 77.

She won the two-day, 81-player event with a two-day score of 150 (6-over par). Morningside returns to action next week, at Northwestern (Iowa), Monday and Tuesday.

NAIA Women’s Golfers of the Week are named weekly, on Wednesdays at NAIA.org, through Oct. 22. The award breaks for the winter and returns March 4, weekly, through April 22.
