As a Staple on the back line, Zoe Mueller Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A staple on defense for Grace (Ind.) through the first four games of the season, all of which have been shutouts, Zoe Mueller kicks off the season earning national defensive player of the week honors. Mueller earned the weekly player of the week honor based on her performances from August 21st through Sunday, August 30th.
Mueller is a critical part of the Lancers' defensive unit, and it shows with four games played and four shutout wins, including a 4-0 victory over fourth-ranked Columbia (Mo.) on the road. Starting and playing the full 90 minutes of all games.
She is also a threat moving up the field as the defender has a game winning goal to her statstics against St. Mary-Woods (Ind.) and an assist against Columbia.
