The Knights Move to the Quarterfinals after a Shutout Victory Against Taylor (Ind.)

PENSACOLA, FLA. - Top-seeded Marian (Ind.) (20-0-2) advances to the Quarterfinals of the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship after taking down Crossroads League foe Taylor (Ind.) (14-3-3) at Ashton Brosnaham Stadium. The game was a battle for possession across the field as both teams were very familiar with each other.

The game was marked by the exceptional performance of Marian's Allie Tredway, who netted both goals. Tredway's first goal came in the 39th minute with a skillful looping shot from 25 yards out, assisted by Katie Koger. Shortly after halftime, Tredway capitalized on a rebound to score again in the 49th minute, once more with an assist from Koger, sealing the win for Marian.

Marian dominated the shot count, tallying 15 total shots with nine on target, compared to Taylor’s seven shots, three of which were on goal. Taylor's goalkeeper, Brianna Rawlings, managed to save seven of the nine shots on target, but it wasn’t enough to fend off the Knights' offensive pressure. Marian’s goalkeeper, Lily Ames, recorded a clean sheet with three saves. Corner kick opportunities were limited, with Taylor earning one and Marian two, both in the second half.

The Knights will take on the winner of the next game between MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and eighth-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m.
