Day One of the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship

GAINESVILLE, Fla. [RESULTS] - The first day of the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship opened with the multi events and finished with two national champions at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center.

  • Pentathlon Highlights:

    • Kerrigan Myers of Midland (Neb.) won the 60m hurdles in 8.56 (1004 points).
    • Mya Hines of Cumberlands (Ky.) was outstanding in the high jump, clearing 1.77m (941 points). Hines doubled down with a win in the long jump with a 5.81m effort (792 points).
    • Joana Vakasobuduru of Central Methodist (Mo.) and Kaitlyn McColly of Dickinson State (N.D.) shared the shot put win at 11.52m (629 points).
    • Abi Stevens of Southern Oregon topped the leaderboard with 3,824 points and also boasted a winning performance in the final event of the day at the 800m with a time of 2:21.1.
  • Women’s Pole Vault Final:

    • Kaylee Pribyl of Doane (Neb.) won with a clearance of 4.05m and set a new PR.
    • Margherita Conrad of Siena Heights (Mich.) finished second at 3.95m.

The events that ran their preliminary races today were 3,000m race walk, 5,000m, 3,200m relay, 1,600m relay and the distance medley relay. 

After finishing two scoring events, Siena Heights (Mich.) holds the top spot while Doane (Neb.), Central Methodist (Mo.) and Southern Oregon followed in second, third and fourth just one point behind the other. Cumberlands (Ky.) rounds out the Top 5. 

Competition at the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship continues on Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. ET with the heptathlon.
