KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Dickinson State (N.D.) senior Kori Nagel has been named the Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after a standout performance at the SDSU Indoor Classic on February 14, 2026. Competing in a meet that drew high-level talent, Nagel delivered a pair of winning throws.

Nagel opened her day by taking control of the shot put, winning a 46-athlete field with a best mark of 15.33 meters. The throw not only secured the event title but also met the NAIA “A” qualifying standard. Her 15.33m performance is currently ranked third on the NAIA performance list for the year, where she has already held the No. 2 spot.

She followed that with another top finish in the weight throw, recording an 18.31-meter mark to earn a share of first place. Like her shot put result, the weight throw mark also hit the “A” standard, further strengthening her national résumé. The 18.31m effort is ranked third in the NAIA this year, and Nagel herself currently owns the top spot on the national list.

This is the final indoor field award for this season.
