2025 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week - No. 8 (April 30)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jaymee Yelton of Huston-Tillotson (Texas) has been named the NAIA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Madison Sutton of Doane (Neb.) has been named the NAIA Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 22-27 and was chosen from a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Athletes of the Week are announced on Wednesday on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Jaymee Yelton, Huston-Tillotson (Texas) - SR

  • Participated in the Red River Outdoor Championships
  • Won the 800-meter run with an NAIA “A” standard time of 2:11.96
  • Won the 400-meter dash with an NAIA “A” standard time of 55.58
  • Placed second in the 5000-meter run with a time of 5:20.75
  • Aided the 4x400-meter relay team to a first-place finish with an NAIA “A” standard time of 3:48.42

 

NAIA Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week

Madison Sutton, Doane (Neb.) - SR

  • Participated in the Prairie Wolf Invite
  • Won the hammer Throw with an “A” standard toss of 54.12m
  • Won the discus with an NAIA “B” standard throw of 47.04m
  • Placed third in the shot put with a toss of 13.49m
