Adrianna Rodencal Opens Her Outdoor Season with Top Performances to Land Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Concordia (Neb.) senior Adrianna Rodencal has been named the NAIA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after an opening outdoor performance that immediately established her as one of the nation’s top hurdlers. The Lincoln, Nebraska, native launched her 2026 outdoor campaign at the Central Nebraska Challenge on March 29 by posting two NAIA automatic national qualifying marks and contributing to a nationally ranked relay.
Rodencal’s headline moment came in the 100-meter hurdles, where she won the event in a field of 20 athletes with a time of 13.55. The mark not only met the NAIA “A” standard, but it also vaulted her to No. 1 in the NAIA national rankings in the event. She followed that up with another elite hurdles performance in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing second out of 14 competitors in 59.32, another “A” standard that currently places her No. 2 nationally.
Her impact extended beyond individual events as well. Rodencal helped Concordia’s 4x100-meter relay clock 46.99 to place second among four teams, earning an NAIA “B” standard. That relay time currently ranks 10th in the NAIA, giving the Bulldogs an early-season foothold in the national picture.
Rodencal’s outdoor surge continues the momentum from a standout indoor season, where she captured the NAIA national title in the 60-meter hurdles. With national-leading and runner-up rankings already secured in the two primary hurdles events, she has positioned herself and Concordia as major contenders as the outdoor season builds toward championship meets.
