Winterfeld Lands Attacker of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Stella Winterfeld, a junior outside hitter from Northwestern (Iowa), has been named the NAIA Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week after helping her team to a 2-0 week.
She led the Northwestern Raiders to two consecutive Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) sweeps and amassed an impressive 33 total kills, averaging 5.50 kills per set. Her skill was particularly evident in a career-defining match against Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), where she notched 21 kills, 10 digs, and achieved a personal best of six blocks, all while maintaining a .329 hitting percentage.
Her consistent excellence throughout the week was further highlighted by two double-doubles in kills and digs. In the match against Dordt (Iowa), Winterfeld recorded 12 kills with a .250 hitting percentage, complemented by 14 digs, two service aces and a block assist, contributing to her team's 3-0 victory.
Her performance at Dakota Wesleyan was even more staggering, with a .381 hitting percentage with 21 kills, 10 digs and six blocks (5 assisted) to secure another sweep.
