Sahara Browning Sets New Milestone for Walla Walla to Earn National Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In a week marked by historic achievements and standout performances, Sahara Browning, a junior outside hitter for Walla Walla (Wash.), has been named the Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week. Browning's exceptional play was instrumental in leading the Wolves to two significant victories, including a groundbreaking win over a ranked opponent, a first in the program's history.

Browning averaged an impressive 6.0 kills per set. Her offensive skill was on full display in the Wolves' 3-1 victory over Arizona Christian and their subsequent 3-0 sweep of No. 11 Montana Western. In these matches, Browning recorded a total of 42 kills with an attack percentage of .388.

In the match against ACU, Browning tallied 23 kills with a .370 attack percentage. She followed this up with 19 kills and a .410 attack percentage against UMW. Her performance not only contributed significantly to the team's success but also saw her become the first player in Walla Walla University volleyball history to surpass 700 career kills.

Defensively, Browning also contributing 11 digs and five total blocks across the two matches. Her efforts resulted in a total of 45 points for the Wolves, averaging 6.4 points per set.
