Northwestern's Winterfeld Leads Raiders to Pair of Top 20 Road Wins, Earning NAIA Attacker of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Northwestern (Iowa) junior Stella Winterfeld averaged 5.29 kills per set and hit .313 in a pair of Top 20 wins on the road, last week, earning NAIA Attacker of the Week for Oct. 14.

The Red Raiders used four sets to get by No. 2 Concordia (Neb.), and Winterfeld was instrumental, posting 22 kills with a .319 hitting percentage, 11 digs and a block. A night later, at No. 18 Midland (Neb.), she added 15 kills and four digs in a three-set win, adding a block. She hit .303 and also had four service aces in the win at Midland.

On the week, Winterfeld totaled 37 kills and accounted for 42 Northwestern points. 

Northwestern is back home Wednesday, hosting Mount Marty (S.D.), and Thursday, the Red Raiders are on the road, at No. 16 Viterbo.
