Collins Tabbed NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week After Strong Showing in Season's Second Meet
Brogan Collins finished third at the Biola Cross Country Invitational Friday, finishing third in a field of 178 runners, earning Sept. 17 national recognition as NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Brogan Collins finished third at the Biola Cross Country Invitational Friday, finishing third in a field of 178 runners, earning national recognition as Sept. 17's NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Collins helped The Master's (Calif.) to a third-place finish, behind Grand Canyon and Pepperdine, in a race that came down to the wire. Collins missed first place by less than two seconds, and was the highest-placed finisher among NAIA runners in the event.
His time of 24:13 nearly collected second place for the freshman from Colorado Springs, Colo., as the second-place finisher crossed in 24:12.9.
