Two Dozen Total Saves Earns Rylee Cotton of IU South Bend Defensive Player of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The final NAIA defensive player of the week honors go to Rylee Cotton of IU South Bend, as she picked up shutouts No. 3 and 4 on the season. Closing the book on the final women's soccer defensive player of the week honors, she tallied a .889 save percentage.
Opening last week at home, she posted eight saves in a 3-0 victory against Calumet (Ind.), standing between the posts for a full 90 minutes. She followed that up in a close match against St. Francis (Ill.), being called upon 12 times.
Then, closing out the week on the road at Mount Mary (Wis.), she had a light day needing to make four saves in a 1-0 game, which also marked her fourth shutout of the season.
Overall, Cotton was credited with 24 saves and 270 minutes played.
