KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Elena Kagiali, the standout senior outside hitter hailing from Piraeus, Greece, delivered a powerhouse performance for Oklahoma Panhandle State to earn her NAIA Attacker of the Week.
In just two road matches, Kagiali accumulated an impressive 46 kills, averaging 5.75 kills per set. She maintained a stellar .370 hitting percentage on the week.
The senior opened the week against Southwestern Christian (Okla.) with 16 kills for an average of 4 kills per set.
Kagiali's week was highlighted by her second match with 30 kills against Oklahoma City while maintaining an impressive attack percentage of .435. This was the second time that she has recorded 30+ kills in a match this season.
Beyond her offensive skills, Kagiali also contributed 32 digs, four service aces and eight blocks over the weekend.
The outside hitter boasted a double-double in both contests with 16 kills and 15 digs against Southwestern Christian and 30 kills and 17 digs against Oklahoma City.
Overall, Kagiali notched a total of 54.0 points for the Aggies, averaging 6.8 points per set. Her performance at Southwestern Christian resulted in a 3-1 victory, where she contributed 21 points with a 5.3 points-per-set average.
