IWU's Porter Named NAIA Setter of the Week After Nearly 13 Assists, 4 Digs per Set in 2-0 Week
Abbigail Porter picked up her 1,000th career dig last week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Abbigail Porter averaged 12.67 assists and 3.83 digs per set in a pair of Indiana Wesleyan wins last week, helping the sixth-ranked Wildcats remain unbeaten in the Crossroads League while also picking up her 1,000th career dig.
Porter opened the week with 41 assists on Oct. 8, adding a block to help the Wildcats sweep Grace (Ind.) in three sets.
She backed that performance with 35 assists and 14 digs, a double-double, in a three-set sweep of Spring Arbor (Mich.). On the week, Porter totaled 76 assists and 23 digs, adding six kills and a block.
IWU is back on the court twice, this week, hosting Saint Francis (Ind.), Wednesday, before traveling to Bethel (Ind.), on Saturday.
